The Westminster Africa Business Association (WABA) was delighted to welcome H.E. Professor Ndolamb Ngokwey, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Kingdom, as the guest speaker at our Summer Lunch in the House of Commons.
The event brought together parliamentarians, ambassadors, diplomats, business leaders and investors to explore the significant trade and investment opportunities available in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Discussions focused on key sectors including mining and critical minerals, agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and financial services, as well as the growing potential for UK–DRC commercial partnerships.
The lunch also provided an opportunity to announce WABA’s plans for a future Trade Mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, giving UK businesses the chance to engage directly with government and industry leaders and explore opportunities in one of Africa’s fastest-growing investment destinations.
